What password do I use to login to the databases

Answer

Spring 2024 update

The login used for the library's databases has recently switched. When logging into the library's databases, users will be taken to the LACCD single sign on page, as shown below.

If your login isn't working at all, please contact the Welcome Center.

If you can login, but something is wrong after that, please fill out the database login problem form.

If you have a link which had been using the old login method, you can convert the link to the new login using the Proxy Link Converter.

The method of logging in listed below will no longer work after November 30, 2023.

Logging in through the Pierce College Proxy Server

You will still use your student ID number for the username, but you will use different information for the password. See below:

Students:  Username is your student ID number (SID), which starts with 88 or 90 and is a 9 digit number.  Your password is the month and day of your birth using this format: MMDD. So if your birthday is January 25, your password is 0125.

Employees:  Username is the your campus login name.  Your password is the last four digits of your employee number.

login with your student ID number and four digit birthday day and month only

Students who are still having trouble logging in should email library@piercecollege.edu with a message saying you cannot login to the library databases through the Pierce proxy server. Please include your name, student ID number, LACCD email address, and your four digit birthdate (month and day).

Faculty or staff who are not able to login should submit an IT work order with Pierce College. Let them know your login to ez-proxy isn't working.
