How do I purchase insurance for my library laptop?

Starting in Fall 2025, Pierce Library now requires that students wishing to checkout a library laptop purchase an insurance policy in case their laptop is lost or severely damaged. Insurance can be purchased through National Student Services, Inc. (NSSI).

Below, you will find step-by-step instructions on how to purchase an insurance policy from NSSI for your laptop checkout.

Step 1

Access the NSSI website and scroll down to find their plans.

In the first box, select California from the dropdown, then click Buy.

Under Payment Options, select Monthly Billing. Click Next Step.

Under School City, select Woodland Hills. Then, under School, select Pierce College. Click Complete Policy.

School city should be Woodland Hills and School should be Pierce College

Step 5

Select Proceed to Checkout. You will be prompted to create an account in order to complete your payment and finalize your insurance policy.
