Can I download accessibility software, like JAWS and ZoomText, to my own device for free?

Yes. The District provides students and employees with access to Fusion, which includes both JAWS and ZoomText.
LACCD students and employees are entitled to receive free home annual licenses for their personally owned equipment. Fusion may be downloaded from the Freedom Scientific Portal using your LACCD email address.
